Marion’s Scott Weir (outside), the most recent non-wing sprint feature winning and current points leader at Gas City I-69 Speedway, along with Robert Ballou (Tipton) will likely compete in the USAC NOS Indiana Sprint Week opener Friday night at the track.

Open-wheel, dirt-track racing view enthusiasts will soon enter a blissful time of year better know as the USAC NOS Energy Drink Indiana Speed Week, and Gas City I-69 Speedway is again set to throw the green flag for the event.

More than 30 of the world’s top non-wing sprint car racers will descend on the high-banked, quarter-mile oval at Gas City Friday night to start the series of seven races – all on different tracks – over a nine-day span with drivers chasing a $6,000 winner’s share each night.
