The Marion Giants followed the script of their defensive game plan with some success Wednesday night against Class 2A No. 1 Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian.

The obvious focus by the Giants was in trying to limit Braves’ Mr. Basketball candidate and Purdue-bound senior Caleb Furst, who carried a nearly 22-point per game average into Bill Green Arena. The Giants also gave much needed attention to Blackhawk seniors, Zane Burke (16.5 ppg) and Marcus Davidson (12.8 ppg).
