As the local government begins to formulate a plan to spend its $5.8 million allotment of federal pandemic funds, one thing is certain: it needs to work together.

Our community cannot afford to squander this opportunity to support the economy and mitigate issues brought on by this pandemic. The focus needs to be on the people, not bureaucracy, and the process needs to be collaborative, frugal and – most importantly – transparent.
