After 179 bills were introduced at the Statehouse, a final count of 41 bills have the ability to affect local education, according to Mississinewa Community Schools reports.

The most impactful bill passed by the Indiana General Assembly this year was the two-year state budget, which allocated a $1.9 billion in funding toward education. That total is more than twice as much as lawmakers originally planned on giving to K-12 schools.
