After another lengthy layoff due to COVID-19, Grant County courts are scheduled to resume jury trials Monday, according to Superior Court 1 Judge Jeffrey Todd.

Jury trials were postponed for about a four-month period in spring 2020 and resumed in July 2020, but another surge of local COVID cases again caused trials to be postponed in late October. Local judges initially stated jury trials would be on hold through late January, but then the Indiana Supreme Court issued an order that jury trials should not be held through at least March 1.
