As Grant County continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and open up more, local communities are encouraging residents to spend time downtown through monthly Friday events this summer.

Main Street Gas City (MSGC) President Amie Pearson said Gas City’s first-ever First Fridays event in May was cold and rainy, with temperatures around 48 degrees, but saw a good turnout. She said she is hopeful better weather will bring even more residents to downtown Gas City tonight, June 4, from 5-9 p.m. and to subsequent events.
