County school districts are planning to remain open in person despite the county moving into the red category for the time being due to rising COVID-19 numbers.

Red is the highest level on the state’s color-coded system describing the state of COVID-19 in counties and means there have been 200 or more new cases within the county and at least a 15 percent positivity rate within the past week of those tested.
