David Bettegnies has lived within the boundaries of the Oak Hill United School Corporation his entire life and is seeking to retain his school board seat in the Nov. 3 election.

Bettegnies said the reason he originally ran for the school board was because he did not like the way the financials of the school district were being handled. That motivated him to be a little more hands on with the district and monitor the funding for the schools, he said.
