WABASH — A 10-year-old stabbing victim of a domestic disturbance which allegedly occurred before a Wabash Police Department (WPD) officer-involved shooting Thursday later died from their injuries, according to Sgt. Tony Slocum, Indiana State Police Department (ISP) public information officer for the Peru District.

Late Friday, Wabash Mayor Scott Long referred all future questions about the incident to ISP, as the WPD had asked them to take charge of the investigation, per department policy.
