Lillie B. Lomax April 20, 1928 - April 2, 2019

Lillie B. Lomax was born Lillie B. Macon on April 20, 1928, to the union of the late Albert and Lucy Bush Macon in Brooksville (Noxubee County), Mississippi. Lillie departed this life on April 2, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. with her son and daughter-in -law by her side.

Lillie confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Brooksville, Mississippi.

Lillie leaves to cherish her memory two sons, John L.(Loletta) Lomax, Los Angeles, California, and Larry C.(Loretta) Lomax, Marion; a daughter, Annie Henley, Brooksville, Mississippi; nine grandchildren, Anthony Lomax, Indianapolis; Debbie (Shawn) Campbell, Las Vegas, Nevada; Kimberly Mason, San Antonio, Texas; Michael Lomax, Fred Lomax, Tearah Lomax, Laronn Lomax, Sermerita Lomax, all of Los Angeles, California; and Briana Lomax, Marion; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ruthie Macon, Marion, and Marie Lomax, Birmingham, Alabama; and three godchildren, Tonia Lavette Smart, Gus (Champ) Smart and Samuel (Chief) Smart; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lucy Macon; husband, J. L. Lomax; eight brothers, Gilbert Williams, John Macon, William Macon, Albert Macon, Jr., James Macon, Ernest Macon, Sane Macon and Willie Macon; six sisters, Angie Brooks, Mary Macon, Hattie Lou Macon, Susie B. Green, Rosie Macon and Emma O’Neil; and oldest nephew Charlie Macon.

Services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 12 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, with calling two hours prior to service at 10 a.m. Services entrusted to Gholar & Gholar Funeral Services LLC.
