Cynthia "Darlene" Baker-Heare Oct. 18, 1940 - March 9, 2019

Cynthia “Darlene” Baker-Heare, 78, of Monroe, Ind., passed away at 2:08 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Signature Health & Rehabilitation in Bluffton. She was born on Friday, Oct. 18, 1940, in Marion. Darlene was a 1958 graduate of Eastbook High School. She had been self-employed for most of her life; owning Darlene’s Haus of Styles and D&D Ceramics in Van Buren. Darlene enjoyed working outdoors, gardening and was a member of the Eagles in Decatur.

Loving survivors include: Son - David (Geri) Messersmith, Marion, IN, Daughter - Cindy (Gary) Eakins, Holiday, FL, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her mother Crystal (Tarr) Baker, father Ralph Baker, husband David Heare, two brothers and one sister.

The family will be having a family service at a later date in the spring. Interment will take place in the Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren.
