Marion girls semistate tickets, T-shirts

Marion High School is selling tickets for the Logansport girls basketball semistate in the MHS athletic office  today through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as well as Friday from 9 a.m. to noon

Tickets are $10 each and good for both the Class 2A game between Oak Hill and Central Noble at 4 p.m. and the 3A game between Marion and Northwestern at 7 p.m. Both games will be played at Logansport High School on Saturday.

The MHS athletic office is also taking orders for Marion Lady Giants Regional Champion T-Shirt, either by stopping in or by oredering by phone (664-2941).

Short Sleeve small-XL sizes are $10, 2XL-4XL are $12. Long Sleeve shirts are available in small through 3XL and are all $15. Money will be due at pickup. T-shirt orders are due by Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.

T-shirts will be ready to pick up after 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Oak Hill ticket, T-shirt information

Oak Hill High School is selling tickets for both the state wrestling meet that starts on Friday as well as the Logansport girls basketball semistate on Saturday.

Tickets to both events will be on sale in the Oak Hill High School office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Thursday as well as 8 a.m. to noon onFriday.

Girls basketball tickets are $10 each and are good for the 2A and 3A game. Oak Hill will play Central Noble at 4 p.m. in the 2A game while Marion will play Northwestern at 7 p.m. in the 3A contest.

Harper Dedman, Bradley Rosman, and Stewart Mossholder will be wrestling in the state finals on Friday and potentially again on Saturday. The first round of the wrestling state finals begins at 6 p.m. on Friday then continues at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The consolation and state championship matches are to start at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Wrestling tickets are $8 for each of the three state finals’ sessions or $20 for all sessions if purchased in advance.

Oak Hill is also taking orders for girls basketball Final Four and wrestling state finals T-shirts.

Short sleeve shirts are $10 and long sleeve are $14. There is an up charge for 2XL-4XL sizes. Basketball T-shirt orders are due noon and and wresting shirts order by 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Shirts can be picked up on Friday after noon.

Marion Babe Ruth baseball registration

Marion Babe Ruth Baseball will be holding registrations on Wednesday as well as Feb. 21 and Feb. 28 from  5 p.m. to  8 p.m. inside Marion High School gate No. 14 (next to baseball field).

All players must come and fill out a registration form even if they played last year. Cost is $75 per player with $60 for each additional sibling. Raffle tickets are also available to sell to help offset the cost.

Leagues being formed for play at Lincoln Field are: Cal Ripken Coaches Pitch, Cal Ripken 9-10 year old, Cal Ripken 11-12 year old, Babe Ruth 13-15 year old as well as Girls Fastpitch Softball, Babe Ruth 9-12 year old and Babe Ruth 13-15 year old.

Marion Babe Ruth Baseball is also looking for coaches and umpires.

PAL Club baseball/softball signups

The Marion PAL Club currently is taking applications for its upcoming baseball/softball/tee-ball leagues through March 25.

Note that the cost is $80 and the leagues are for boys ages four through nine and girls ages four through 14.

Applicants must submit their name, phone number, birth date and shirt size, and may be asked to participate in a ticket raffle fundraiser. Call the PAL Club at 668-4422 to register. 

Oak Hill football chicken noodle dinner 

The Oak Hill football program will host a chicken and noodle dinner in the OHHS cafeteria on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the Senior Night boys basketball game against Elwood.

Advanced tickets can be purchased for $6 per adult or $3 for children. At the door tickets will cost $7 per adult and $4 for children.
