Taylor women’s soccer ID Camp

The Taylor women’s soccer program will host an ID Camp on Friday, March 8 at Wheeler Field. The camp is open to girls in grades 8-12 and will run from 3 p.m. through 6 p.m. The one-day camp is $90 per participant.

Campers will receive the opportunity to train with current members of the Taylor women’s soccer program, while receiving technical training from the coaching staff. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt and parents will be able to attend a meeting with Coach Scott Stan to discuss the college recruiting process.

Camp Schedule: 3 p.m. --- Registration, 3:30 p.m. --- Technical Work, 4:45 p.m. --- Break, 5 p.m. --- Small-Sided Games, 6 p.m. --- Departure.

M-G softball chicken noodle dinner

The Madison-Grant softball program will host a chicken and noodle dinner on Jan. 18 in the MGHS cafeteria.

The dinner will be held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. starting prior to the Argylls boys basketball games against Eastbrook.

Dine in and carry-out meals will be available at a cost of $8 ($1 off cards at local businesses). Children under five eat free.

Coaches and players from Madison-Grant’s softball team will be pre-selling tickets until Jan. 9. 

Indiana Swish Tryouts

Indiana Swish is looking to fill sports for 2019 tournament teams ranging from third grade through high school based upon 2018-19 grade.

Teams will compete in six to eight tournaments beginning in March and ending in July. Indiana Swish will host tournaments as well as have a travel team.

Coaches consist current/former IWU players along with high school level coaches and the staff is focused on creating a positive opportunity for players and help them achieve personal goals.

Tryouts will be held Jan. 27 at Lakeview Wesleyan, 5318 S. Western Ave., Marion with following schedule: 3/4th Grade-1 p.m., 5/6th Grade-2:30 p.m., 7/8th Grade-4 p.m., 9/10th and 11th/12th Grades are to be determined.

Players are to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to time slot to fill out paperwork and get checked in. Interested players should email info@indianaswish.com to receive further info and register for tryouts.
