Mississinewa football tenderloin supper on Dec. 14

The Mississinewa football program is hosting a Rock’s Concessions all-you-can-eat tenderloin supper from 4 to 7:30 p.m.  Dec. 14.

The supper will be held in the high school cafeteria prior to the boys’ basketball games against Madison-Grant. The freshman game starts at 5 p.m.

Cost is $10 for adults, $7 for age 12-and-under.

Elks Hoop Shoot

The Elks Hoop Shoot contest will be held Jan. 5 at Northview Elementary School in Gas City.

Grant County residents ages 8 to 13 are welcome to compete in the best-of-25 free throw contest in one of three age categories. The 8 and 9 year-old division shoots at 8:30 a.m., 10 and 11 year olds at 9:45 a.m. and 12 and 13 year olds shoot at 11 a.m. 

Age groups are based on the contestant’s age as of April 1, 2019.

Winners advance through district, state and regional competitions culminating in the National Finals in Chicago to be held in April.

Oak Hill baseball chili supper

The Oak Hill baseball program will host its annual chili supper from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14.

The all-you-can eat supper will start prior to the Frankton-Oak Hill boys’ basketball game and includes chili, sandwiches, vegetables, desert and drinks. Take out also will be available.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 12-and-under. Tickets will be $6 and $4 the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased from prospective Oak Hill baseball players or in the high school athletic office.

Oak Hill baseball clothing will also be available the night of the supper.
