Marion Police Department

8:14 a.m. Tuesday, 720 N. Miller Ave., disturbance. A juvenile reported as a runaway was transported to the Grant County Detention Center.

10:08 a.m. Tuesday, Carey Services, 2724 S. Carey St., fraud. A fraudulent check that allegedly came from Carey Services was cashed at on out of town bank.

10:12 a.m. Tuesday, Meijer, 3820 S. Western Ave., theft. A man was arrested for theft from Meijer.

1:05 p.m. Tuesday, 904 W. 28th St., burglary. A woman reported that her house was broken into and several items were taken.

1:35 p.m. Tuesday, 709 W. Sixth St., welfare check. A five year old had not been to school in over a week. Officers were unable to make contact with parents due to not having a good address.

6:54 p.m. Tuesday, 614 W. Second St., robbery. A masked black male with a semi-automatic pistol entered a residence looking for someone. He stole three cell phones and a wallet before leaving.

11:37 p.m. Tuesday, Save-On Liquor, 1216 W. Second St., alarm. An unknown subject attempted to break into the liquor store.

Grant County Sheriff’s Department

7:42 a.m. Tuesday, 5700 N. Francis Slocum Trail, Marion, animal problem. A man struck a deer in the area of 5700 N. Frances Slocum Trail.

8:58 a.m. Tuesday, Hamilton County Jail, warrant service. A man was picked up at the Hamilton County Jail and arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. He was transported to the Grant County Jail.

10:58 a.m. Tuesday, Grant County Jail, warrant service. An inmate was arrested on warrant for domestic battery in presence of a child.

1:33 p.m. Tuesday, 911 W. Plainview Drive, Marion, domestic disturbance. A man who had several cuts and was bleeding was transported to MGH for evaluation on an IDO. The man was later discharged.

3:46 p.m. Tuesday, 435 E. Main St., Gas City, theft. The assistant principal at Eastbrook High School reported a cell phone belonging to a student had been taken by another student. A student claimed the phone was his. The owner of the phone, another student, had his father track the phone to 435 E. Main St. The initial student was arrested for theft and transported to the Grant County Jail.

Mary Elaine Hogue, 39, last known address 2522 S. Branson St., Marion, battery resulting in bodily injury. She was released from the Grant County Jail on a $405 bond.

Matthew Douglas Owen, 28, last known address 2742 S. Gallatin St., Marion, failure to appear on felony charge. He was being held in the Grant County Jail without bond.

Jose Candelario Parras, 55, last known address 1516 S. Branson St., Marion, arrest on warrant/failure to appear. He was being held in the Grant County Jail on a $185 bond.

Shane Harry Roberts, 44, last known address homeless, Marion, battery or BBW against public safety official while engaged in official duties. He was being held in the Grant County Jail without bond.

Laquerita Nicole Tibbs, 36, last known address 706 E. 22nd St., Marion, operating while intoxicated. She was released from the Grant County Jail on authority of Superior Court III.

Aron Alan Townsend, 29, last known address 1528 E. Raven Court 4, Marion, theft. He was released from the Grant County Jail on a $205 bond.

Michelle Lee Jimenez, 31, last known address 708 N. River Drive 205, Marion, possession of paraphernalia, unlawful possession of syringe, possession of cocaine or narcotic drug. She was being held in the Grant County Jail on a $605 bond.

Roscoe John McKinley, 42, last known address 122 ½ Spencer Ave., Marion, battery. He was being held in the Grant County Jail on a $405 bond.
