Marion Police Department

8:47 a.m., Thursday, 2545 S. Lincoln Blvd., warrant service. A 26-year-old man was arrested on a Grant County warrant.

8:51 a.m., Thursday, 100 N. Washington St., investigation. A small juvenile was located unattended in the 100 block of North Washington Street. Contact was made with the child’s mother and DCS was contacted.

3:46 p.m., Thursday, 301 S. Branson St., theft. A woman reported that two of her checks were stolen.

4:23 p.m., Thursday, 315 S. Adams St., fraud. A man reported someone withdrew $100 from his checking account without his permission.

Grant County Sheriff’s Department

7:42 a.m., Thursday, Ind. 9 and Ind. 26, accident with injury. A two vehicle accident with minor injury occurred in the area of Ind. 9 and Ind. 26.

8:55 a.m., Thursday, Hamilton County Jail, warrant service. Brittany Kellogg was picked up at the Hamilton County Jail and transported to the Grant County Jail where she was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

1:45 p.m., Thursday, 5400 S. 250 W., shots fired. A man reported shots fired in the area of the residence. After checking the area multiple shell casings and targets were located. There was not a backstop and the deputy will follow up with the homeowner in reference to not having a proper backstop.

2:22 p.m., Thursday, 50 Ind. 22 West, fatal accident. A plane crash in the area was reported. The plane was fully engulfed in fire upon officers arrival. The pilot, Jeffrey C. Barrett, 60, was the only person in the plane at the time of the crash.

2:43 p.m., Thursday, 8663 E. 750 S., fraud report. A man reported being defrauded on his computer.

5:02 p.m., Thursday, 3945 S. Illinois, theft. A man reported that someone had sold his vehicle.

5:43 p.m., Thursday, 406 N. Washington St., Van Buren, accident no injury. A no-injury vehicle accident occurred.

7:04 p.m., Thursday, 4700 S. 900 E., agency assist. The Sheriff’s Department assisted Indiana State Police with a three-vehicle fatal accident.

8:49 p.m., Thursday, 2175 S. 600 E., battery. A man reported a woman had been jumped by her boyfriend’s mother. The woman said she had been struck in the arm but had no marks showing this. The boyfriend’s mother denied striking the woman. The woman left the residence.

Brittany Nicole Kellogg, 32, last known address 918 N. Miller Ave., Marion, failure to appear on a felony charge. She was being held in the Grant County Jail without bond.

Kayla Marie Bixler, 28, last known address 3528 S. Felton St., Marion, neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury, neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury. She was being held in the Grant County Jail without bond.

Steven Jordan Enyeart, 18, last known address 2510 S. Washington St., Marion, conspiracy to commit robbery. He was being held in the Grant County Jail on a $50,005 bond.

Jon Anthony Maston, 32, last known address 419 Cherokee Court, Peru, battery. He was released from the Grant County Jail on a $305 bond.
