Phillip Ray Callahan

Phillip Ray Callahan, age 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018. Phillip was born in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, on July 24, 1961. He attended Marion High School. Phillip attended New (New) Bethany Church.

He is survived by sisters Betty Jackson (Marion), Brenda Callahan (Marion) and Lori Sanders (Marion); brothers John Williams (Marion), Otha (Rachel) Callahan (Marion), Nathan Callahan (Fort Wayne), Steve Callahan (Marion), Lonny Callahan (Marion), Johnny Callahan (Marion) and Timmy Callahan (Marion); and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents (Otha and Lucy Callahan), grandparents (Junior and Rosie Hutchinson), three other sisters and nephew (Joseph “Jojo” Williams).

Phillip will be remembered for his one of kind sense of humor, funny jokes and love for his family. He was also known to be a stylish dresser. Before he left here he rededicated his life to the Lord.

Services will be held Thursday at 12 p.m. at New New Bethany Church of God in Christ. Calling will be from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m. Services entrusted to Gholar and Gholar Funeral Service, Marion.
