Shady Hills free junior golf clinic

Shady Hill Golf Course will host a free junior golf clinic each Monday through the end of July.

The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 10 through 18 and will run from 11 a.m. to noon.

Retired Marion High School golf coaches Mark Hyman and Jack Raabe will be offering free instruction to kids that want to learn to play the game.

IWU volleyball camp

The Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball program is accepting applications for its upcoming youth summer camps.

Each session will provide skills and drills for athletes to work on individual and team skills. 

A Youth Camp (2nd-6th grades) and the general skills camp (7th-10th) will be held July 9-12 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Cost of each camp is $75.

IWU will host a high school prospect camp on July 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $100.

Indiana Wesleyan is also hosting a high school bash on July 21 for teams to compete in a tournament format before the fall sports season begins.

Camps will be conducted in the Recreation and Wellness Center on the IWU campus.

GCTA Tennis Camp

The Grant County Community Tennis Association will sponsor its 16th annual tennis camp July 16-20 at Matter Park.

The first through fourth-grade session is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with a registration fee of $30. A fifth through eighth-grade session will run from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. with a fee of $50. Additional children from the same family are half price.

Registration deadline is July 11.
