Oak Hill youth football camp

The Oak Hill football program will host its annual youth camp from July 15-18 and from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Cost is $35 and includes camp t-shirt.

Camp registration forms are in the high school office or walk up registrations will be welcome.

Bob Buroker Memorial Scramble

Maple Run Friends Church will be hosting its annual Bob Buroker Memorial Golf Scramble for Missions on August 3 at Arbor Trace Golf Club.

Cost is $50 per person and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, door prizes and a pork chop luncheon. Lunch will be served at noon with a putting contest to follow before the scramble begins at 1:45 p.m. with a shotgun start.

Prizes for longest putt and drive as well as closest to the pin will be awarded. Every players receives a door prize.

All proceeds from the event go to support local, national and international mission programs designed to serve others.

The missions scramble is also looking for merchandise donors and hole sponsors ($25 per hole) in the fundraising effort.

IWU shooting camp

The Indiana Wesleyan men’s basketball program is hosting an Advanced Shooting Camp for players from fourth through 12th grades on July 15-17 in Luckey Arena.

Camp sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each of the three days.

Cost is $80 for day campers or $180 for overnight campers.

The camp will be conducted by IWU head men’s coach Greg Tonagel, his assistants and players and will focus on shooting technique, mental concentration, and shooting drills.

Fighting for Air Scramble

Arbor Trace Golf Club will host the Fighting for Air scramble on July 21 at 2 p.m. with shotgun start.

Cost is $50 per player or $200 per team.

Taylor baseball prospect camp

The Taylor University baseball program will host a Prospect Camp at Winterholter Field on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the high school players.

 Cost for the one-day camp is $65 per individual participant and each camper will receive instruction from Taylor University coaches and players. Each camper will also be given a written evaluation.

Madison-Grant tennis camp

Madison-Grant will host a tennis camp from July 15-18 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the high school courts.

The camp is open to any boy or girl entering sixth through ninth grades this fall and will be directed by Argylls’ coach Tony Pitt.

Cost is $30, or $20 for each additional camper from same family and includes a camp t-shirt.

Westview youth soccer camp

Westview Wesleyan Church Youth Soccer Camp is being held on Saturday and also July 27 from 10 a.m. to noon at the church, 1300 West 6th Street in Jonesboro.

The camp is for children pre-K to eighth grade. Registration is free. T-shirts and concessions will be available for a nominal charge.

The camp will consist of one hour practice/skills development and one hour scrimmage.
