Margaret Ann Wilshire Oct. 26, 1925 - July 7, 2019

Margaret Ann Wilshire, 93, of Warren, Indiana, formerly of Van Buren, Indiana passed away at 12:56 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Heritage Pointe in Warren; where she resided for many years. She was born on Monday, Oct. 26, 1925, in Upland, Indiana. She married Loren G. Wilshire on Sunday, Nov. 12, 1950 in Van Buren, Indiana; he passed away on Jan. 3, 2006. Margaret was a graduate of Van Buren High School. She formerly worked at the Appliance Store in Van Buren, as a housekeeper at Emily Flinn Home in Marion and was a homemaker. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and knitting.

Loving survivors include: Daughter - Nila (Wilshire) Reid, Anderson, Indiana, three Grandsons - Eric Whirl, Marion, Indiana, Travis Whirl, Winter Haven, Florida, Curtis Whirl, Davenport, Florida and Brother-in-law-Ray Forst, Richmond, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her: Father - Walter Banter, Mother - Fern (Pugh) Banter, Husband - Loren G. Wilshire, Daughter, Barbie Wilshire, Son - Dennis G. Wilshire, Brother - John Robert “Bob” Banter, Sister-in-law - Lola Banter, Sister - Wilma Wilson, Brother-in-law-Kenneth Wilson, Sister-in-law-Wanda Williams, Brother-in-law-Ralph Williams and Sister-in-law-Anna Mary Forst.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel 801 Huntington Ave.Warren on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 4 – 6 p.m.

A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be at Van Buren Central Christian Church, 201 S. 1st St. Van Buren at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019; viewing will be held one hour before the service. Chaplain Dick Case will be officiating, and burial will follow next to her husband in the Gardens of Memory in rural Marion, Huntington County, Indiana.

The family would like to offer a special heartfelt thank you to the staff at Heritage Pointe in Warren for their excellent care and compassion throughout the years.
