Marion Giants basketball academy

The Marion boys' basketball coaching staff is hosting a training program during the month of June at Marion High School for boys entering fifth through eighth grades this fall.

There is no cost to participate.

This opportunity will help young athletes maximize their potential both on and off the basketball court. The program is designed to challenge players physcially and mentally to push them out of their comfort zone and help them grow and develop their abilities.

Dates for the camp are as follows: today and Thursday, June 10-13, June 17-20, June 24-27. Training sessions for each of those days are broken down by grades: Seventh and eighth graders will train from noon to 1:30 p.m. and fifth and sixth graders will go from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

For more information about the camp, contact Nate McNeely at nmcneely@marion.k12.in.us.

All workouts are designed for each specific age group and ability levels.

Campers are asked to wear clothes and shoes comfortable for running and bring a full water bottle (very important), a watch (if possible) and a positive attitude.

Registration/Waiver forms are available at www.mariongiantssports.com and must be completed and returned with payment to either the Marion High School office (open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. this week) or to the first day of camp. Make checks payable to Marion High School, memo line: Giants XC camp.
