Swayzee Euchre Party: The Swayzee Lions Club is hosting its Swayzee Euchre Party at the Swayzee United Methodist Church, south of the railroad tracks on Ind. 13 and Ind. 19. Registration is 1-1:45 p.m. and play begins at 2 p.m. The entry fee is $12.50. Proceeds to benefit Oak Hill School and Lions Scholarship Fund. First Responders Appreciation Meal: at New Hope Baptist Church, 800 E. South C St., Gas City, from 6 to 9 p.m. All first responders and their families are welcome to attend and let us show our appreciation for all they do.

MHS 1955 Class: The Marion High School Class of 1955 will have its Lady’s Monthly Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at Sirloin Stockade.

Epworth United Methodist Church: presents Jim & Melissa Brady in concert with special guest Philip Kolb. Performance starts at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door and a love offering will be received. After the concert there will be a meet and greet with free refreshments.

Memorial Day Service: Friends Church, 2211 N. Wabash Ave., at 11:45 a.m. presented by Dwight Elliott.

Matthews Cemetery’s Annual Memorial Day Service: will begin at 2 p.m. The cemetery is located adjacent to the Matthew’s Cumberland Covered Bridge. Upland Scout Troop 427 will present the colors. Sweet Sounds will provide the music. Ed Trice, Past Commander for the Indiana American Legion will be the keynote speaker. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the service.

Dan’s Fish and Tenderloin Fry: will be held at Sunnycrest United Methodist Church, 1921 W. Bradford St., Marion, from 4 to 7 p.m. Carry-out available. Admission tickets can be purchased from any church member or in the church office, Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to noon. Adult tickets are $9 in advance, $10 at the door. For children 6-12 tickets are $5. No charge for those under the age of 6. Profits support the church’s ministry projects.

Marion Rotary Family Picnic and Membership Drive: at 5 p.m. at Arbor Trace Golf Course. Purchase golf ball drop chance $10 and picnic ticket $10 (Kids under 12 free) from any Marion Rotary member or call 765-661-6990. Rotary will provide the picnic buffet. Golf scramble $30 which includes the picnic. Potential members are encouraged to attend the event.
