Mary E. (Devitt) Miller Fish May 23, 1923 - May 11, 2019

Mary was born on May 23, 1923 to the late Thomas Aloysius and Martha Anna (Keerns) Devitt. She and her brothers were raised by her grandparents, Thomas A. and Hanora A. Devitt in Crawfordsville. Mary passed away on May 11, 2019 in Marion.

Mary graduated from Crawfordsville High School. In the mid-fifties Mary and her husband, Dr. Andrew J. Miller came to Marion. She was a homemaker and later was employed at Sears in the catalog department. For 25 years she was notably accommodating in her customer service role. She later married Leo Fish and he also preceded her in death. Mary was a faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was a former member of the Rosary Society. Mary enjoyed playing Euchre and Bingo.

Survivors include her children, Mary Jo (Larry) Parlee, Marion; Ann C. (Dr. Anil) Doshi, Morris Plains, New Jersey; Daniel W. (Suzanne) Miller, West Palm Beach, Florida; Anthony A. (Janet) Miller, Clearwater, Florida; Deacon Stephen P. (Melissa) Miller, Westfield; special cousin, Bobby Devitt, Crawfordsville; nine grandchildren, Nathan A. Parlee, Noblesville; Matthew R. (Allison) Parlee, Lawndale, California; Ami E. (David) Simunovich, Morristown, New Jersey; Ashley T. A. (Joseph) Guedes, Guilford, Connecticut; Ryan D. (Kelly) Miller, Stuart, Florida; Lisa A. (Ron) Sanford and Lauren A. (Joshua) Bland, both of Wellington, Florida; Lindsay E. (Patrick) Shaughnessy, North Chesterfield, Virginia; Lea M. (Brian) Carey, West Palm Beach, Florida; 18 great-grandchildren.

Mary is also preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence J. Devitt and T. Harold Devitt; special cousin, Paul D. Devitt.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 in the narthex of St. Paul Catholic Church, 1031 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in the church with Rev. Christopher Roberts officiating. The burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, US Highway 231 North, Crawfordsville, Indiana. Memorial contributions can be directed to St. Paul Catholic Church, Narthex Fund, 1009 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana 46952. Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 S. Washington St., Marion, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements.
